Random Thoughts
When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. That’s the old saying. What if instead you receive a fruit assortment? Fruit cake? As we all know those can turn out to be quite terrible. It’s easier to work with one “fruit” than try and combine several. Get where I am going here? More often than not we aren’t blessed with only one issue at a time. Over the last six months I have moved across country, changed careers and have been attending school through it all. It is really easy to set aside your fruit basket and instead focus on the past. I thought by doing this I would be able to get peace and comfort by remembering all of the memories and ease of the life I had before. And I did. I also made it impossible to begin a new life and now here I am still feeling like a fish out of water. Although we may have a hard time believing it we do have control over our own lives and we can benefit from helping ourselves. Easier said than done I know but sometimes….sometimes.
