generational gap…

Is it still a gap when it is your own generation?  Sometimes the people who should have the most in common with you seem as if they from another time.  Or place.  How much of what expect for ourselves is realistic?  Meeting people becomes harder as we get older.  Is this because we begin to have less in common with our peers?  Or because we start to believe that our differences are insurmountable?  Perhaps the fear of putting ourselves “out there” extends to more than intimate relationships.  But what’s the worst that can happen?  We live life?  Take the plunge, it’s worth it.
